Three-Bedroom Apartment in Tašmajdan – Complete Interior Reconstruction

This three-bedroom apartment in Tašmajdan, located in a historic residential building, underwent a complete interior reconstruction. From the original interior, only the parquet flooring was preserved, while all other elements were removed—the space was stripped back to the walls to create a clean foundation for a new design concept.

The former outdated apartment was transformed into a modern, youthful interior, designed to provide long-term quality and comfort that future generations will continue to enjoy.

Functional Reorganization of the Space

The 85 m² layout allowed for three comfortable and nearly equal-sized rooms. While the bedrooms gained in both functionality and spatial comfort, the main design challenge was organizing the living and dining area to achieve optimal connectivity and fluid circulation throughout the space.

Bathroom as a Key Design Element

Special attention was given to the bathroom design. With minimal wall demolition, additional space was created for a laundry area and a shoe storage unit, without compromising the comfort of the main bathroom zone. This resulted in a highly functional layout suited to contemporary urban living.

The bathroom is finished with Italian terrazzo-design tiles—materials we often recommend in our projects for their durability, aesthetic quality, and timeless character. In this space, the terrazzo design truly comes into full expression.

A Contemporary Home in a Historic Building

The result is a contemporary, functional, and aesthetically balanced apartment, tailored to modern living while clearly respecting the character of the historic urban building.
